Happy New Year friends and beautiful strangers! <3 May the next year bring you closer to your dreams! :)

So last night, I spent the most amazing night with my favorite people. Long story short, we did Secret Santa. My Secret Santa (code name: Helga Pataki) wanted me to make a poem about these crazy people. I’m posting it because, well, basically, many people told me to. So here we go!
A Poem for Helga Pataki
by NIKKI PAYAWAL
So I have to make this poem, for someone I don’t even know,
It’s for someone in Ants, so I’ll give it a go.
This Helga Pataki wants me to make a poem,
about 20 people who never leave me alone.
Dati, si Andie’y lumlangoy na masaya,
hanggang naBASA yung binaBASA niya.
Now, I bet, Kim and Tim, even if on a dare
would never, in this world, ever shave off their hair.
See, Bea Fider can do two things with a stick,
not only can she cook, she hits people really quick.
Kibby and Missy; being cool and crazy, they share,
one uses her mouth, while the other uses her hair!
Marcelo and Nico, the stage boys of our crew, (The best!)
can you ever get enough of these two? (Uh yes.)
Lyka and Mara, the donyas we all adore,
no wonder we’ve never seen them drunk on the floor!
AJ and CJ, aren’t they both DJs?
If only we could have them all of our days!
So Paula and Tisha can hit that shuttlecock far far away,
but even without the shuttle, it’s all good—as long as they’re not gay?
Stacey and Stefi, two quirky people we all know,
I bet we’d all pay if we could watch them both on a show.
Now, you know that Patsy and Tobi have drank too much,
if they give you more than just their touch.
In this poem Patring deserves her own line,
because she doesn’t make sense, so rhyme crime chime
Finally, Tsina, the only girl I know who could want this poem,
and true enough, she never leaves me alone.
Whether with or without a phone,
she’ll find me as if I was her own—dog.
No matter how crazy and strange these people are,
I love them to death with or without a bar.
So here’s to tonight, and all nights we choose,
let’s make more memories, let’s bring out the booze!
P.S. To Rikka, Louie and Miggy, even if you aren’t in Ants and this is all new;
You’re welcome get wild with this crew!
Haight Street, San Francisco
5 November 2011
As you can very well tell, I spent part of November in San Francisco. A little impromptu trip, yes—had to give up certain things, but it was worth it. :) My cousin, Katrina, brought me around Haight Street, which she called the “Vintage Street”. Here are basically photos of the unique things I found along the street.

A strangely dressed man we spotted while uncle was finding parking.

Wasteland’s an awesome apparel store that resells a unique selection of other brands. Their choices are (expensive) but so chic and vintage—so worth the money.

The inside of a mailbox—I’m always fascinated by graffiti.

An accessory store whose name escapes me.

A random street-musician across the street.

My cousin Katrina! :)

Really cool vintage wrapping paper that I need in my life.

I have never seen a pumpkin this big up close.

Kidrobot is a brand that produces the cutest things. :3

Painted bottles used as a wind-chime hanging on the street? Very interesting.

Interesting flat design by Addidas, haha.

Carving on the pavement. Oh strange people.

And this time, it’s actually golden.
